Ever wish that you could send your kids to a safe and fun environment where they could watch a calf be born, learn to milk a cow, buck hay, scoop poop, drive a tractor or simply learn more about the farming lifestyle? Well, good news, Farm Camp is the answer!
“My kids, although skeptical at first, had the BEST time at farm camp! It was so fun, wholesome and educational! I would highly recommend this camp to anyone!”
-Annie T., Nampa
Farm Camp was an incredible experience for our kids - they got to milk a cow, feed a calf, drive a tractor, and learn all about the inner workings of a dairy. It made them appreciate the hard work that goes into bringing us the foods we eat every day, plus it was super fun!”
(I asked Jackson what his favorite part was, and he said it was too hard to decide - it was all fun!)
I have been telling everyone about it! Hands down one of the top experiences our kids will have this summer.
-Marie H., Boise
We had such a fun time learning about the farm to table process that milk goes through, the different kinds of cows and different types of feed, and watching calves be born! The Reece family knows how to keep kids engaged and they have so much fun while they learn!
-Veronica F., Nampa
My daughter has been milking her blow up cow "Rose" every morning and every afternoon since camp. And teaching everyone she can how to milk a cow!
Carla P., Boise
After day one Lauren said “this was the best day of my life and I would like to relive it 1 million times”. They loved it...
At lunch today her pizza had to much cheese and she was debating scraping it off but decided cows wouldn’t appreciate that. They loved it, thanks for putting together such a great program!
Angela K., Meridian
Our four girls had an amazing time at Farm Camp. The girls really enjoyed helping wrangle the younger kids while learning right along side them about how a smooth running dairy operates. Some of their favorite activities: birth of a baby calf, learning about the cows ankle pedometers, learning about different forms of irrigation and farming, different types of feed, milking a cow, and of course the water games, ag race and arm wrestling contest.

We have 5-10 babies born per day, so with the kids being on the farm for two days straight, they will have ample opportunity to watch a real live cow give birth! They will even get to name the baby calf! Our last one was "Jerry, the Jersey"!
We will go through the life of a dairy cow from birth to motherhood to teach the kiddos all about how milk gets from moo to you. There's a good chance the kids will get to watch a calf be born!
We will learn all about the different types of feeds that cows eat, how they have a personal nutritionist and work hard to turn those nutrients into healthy nutrients for you!
Every camper will get the opportunity to actually milk a cow. It's not as easy as you might think! In addition to technique, they will get to learn all about the process that milk undergoes from the harvesting process in our parlor to the dinner table in your home!
Each camper will get the real life experience of feeding our calves a warm bottle of milk the size of a half gallon jug!
We will take the campers on a fun hay ride so that they can see the scope of the entire dairy farm and learn how the farmers in the field work hard year in and year out to grow the crops for our cows to eat.
In a fun race to wrap up our farm adventures we will have a contest! In addition to learning all the cool farm facts, the kids will get to try their hand at bucking hay, setting syphon pipes, hauling feed sacks, making calf bottles, carrying grain buckets, dressing like a farmer and other hardworking habits that farmers fill their days with all year long. Expect water games!
After our Ag Olympics, we will award our Strongest Farmer, Farmer's Tan Winner, Star Farmer and other Farm Kiddos from this week's camp with their Cow Trophies, Their "Milky Way" & "Cow Tails" Candy Bars, and their Farm Camp Certificates.
For all those who have seen the cows at the county fair and wished they could be the leader, now's your chance! Learn exactly what has to happen in order for those sweet docile cows to come to the fair.
In addition to learning about the nutrient content of dairy products, each camper will get to taste the goodness of dairy with their own ice cream from our very own creamery as well as receiving other nutritious and healthy dairy snacks offered throughout both days. (cheese sticks, yogurts, milk, etc.)
Note: Please indicate any dietary restrictions on registration. There will not be any raw milk served at farm camp.
